The position can be located at Sydney (NSW), Russell (ACT) or Henderson (WA).The Project Manager role is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex project work within an integrated workforce.Duties will include:Analyse project performance against agreed plans, and develop and initiate strategies to achieve project outcomes.Provide input into the development of project planning, performance, cost and schedule documents and work breakdown structures in accordance with agreed procedures and performance standards.Prepare correspondence, briefs and reports including submissions and documents for higher delegate and committee consideration in accordance with organisational requirements.Manage a range of project activities and coordinate project inputs in accordance with organisational practices, methods and standards appropriate to the complexity of the project.Assist in developing governance and assurance frameworks, monitoring compliance, and coordinating project governance and stakeholder meetings.Analyse and ensure compliance with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.Apply established technical, operational, professional and administrative activities, procedures, practices and project management methodologies.Identify risks and opportunities and take account of these in planning, decision-making and priority setting.Build and sustain key stakeholder relationships.Resolve issues by identifying and developing ideas through analysis of alternative courses of action and their implications.This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.About our TeamA Henderson Consolidation Program Management Office is currently being established within the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) for the Infrastructure Team to deliver Defence’s mega-program at Henderson, WA.The Delivery Team lies within the Infrastructure Directorate, which supports portfolio level decision-making and provides a consistent approach to the management of shipbuilding and sustainment infrastructure, by optimising usage of current assets, analysing future demand against planned capability and capacity, sponsoring required enhancements, and maintaining effective stakeholder engagement across Defence, Industry, and State and Territory Governments.
