Health, Safety & Environment (Mining, Resources & Energy) Full time About the Role: The primary objective of this role is to ensure a safe and healthy workplace while leading the development and maintenance of the Corporate Risk Management Framework. You will monitor emerging risks, develop strategies to address them, and support the team through coaching and mentoring to ensure effective risk management practices are in place. In partnership with the Health & Safety Manager, you'll oversee the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS), aligning it with best practices and fostering a culture of safety. Additionally, you will manage contractor health and safety systems and contribute to creating a high-performing, inclusive work environment. Key Responsibilities: Ensure workplace safety through regular risk assessments and reporting of health and safety events; Lead the corporate risk management framework, including maintenance, development, and monitoring of reporting systems; Manage the risk register and implement risk management strategies in collaboration with other teams; Develop and deliver training programs on risk identification and management for staff; Maintain a robust electronic risk management system with support for employees; Evaluate and manage contractor health and safety systems and external review programs; Collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to improve the Health and Safety Management System (HSMS); Oversee the development and project management of key initiatives; and Drive business outcomes while delivering high-quality services. About You: With a strong commitment to fostering a collaborative culture, you understand and implement proactive risk and safety practices. Your expertise in developing and maintaining risk management frameworks, combined with your comprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation, positions you as a key player in creating a safe and effective work environment. You excel in risk identification and control, effectively delivering risk management projects in high-risk settings. Your leadership skills enable you to align individual and team behaviours with performance expectations while cultivating positive relationships with stakeholders. With a solid foundation in business acumen, you make informed decisions underpinned by financial management expertise, including budgeting and forecasting. Your high-level communication skills facilitate the development of project plans and analytical reports, while your practical experience with electronic risk management systems enhances operational efficiency. Tertiary qualifications and a strong background in risk and safety management and frameworks is essential.
