Immediate Start - Global Market-Leading Organisation - Financial & Management Accounting - Inventory Accounting Management - Reporting & Projects About the role A business critical role with a global industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Financial Accountants' position will help assist in the management and communication of the companies’ financial & corporate accounting activities on both a domestic and international scale. Initially this will be a 4 month contract role, however there is the genuine view for this role to be extended and/or made permanent (given a permanent headcount is available). The responsibilities Reporting into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to); Month-end journals and reporting requirements Monthly reporting preparation and supporting analysis Monthly balance sheet reconciliations Inventory Management; including monthly revaluations of both stock on hand and Goods-in-Transit to take into account any movement derived from currency fluctuations Maintaining integrity of inventory costing; be the local contact point for Global Supply Chain Working with Accounts Payable to ensure the correct treatment of fixed overheads and timely balance sheet reconciliations Drives continuous process improvement initiatives Assist in ad-hoc projects as directed by the CFO and Financial Controller The successful applicant will have Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional or studying towards; and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail, have proven inventory accounting experience & knowledge, and have worked in a large-scale & dynamic organisation previously.
