The purpose of the Payroll System Specialist is to provide a customer focused and professional payroll service and system management. This standalone role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate periodical processing of the end-to-end payroll function, system update & setup, system audit and manage IT & Payroll collaboration.
The Payroll System Specialist will also manage the internal system version updates, T&A Projects and assist with required data audits and cleansing, reporting metrics, as well as consistent review of current processes, with a focus on continuous improvement.
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in business, Information Technology, Accounting, Payroll, or Human Resources.
* Proven experience in interpreting and applying relevant awards, legislation, policy, and procedures – SCHADS 2010 experience preferred.
* Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a range of computer systems and software, including Microsoft Excel and payroll systems with a focus on Salesforce, 2Cloud Nine and Skedulo.
* Demonstrated ability to undertake detailed work and maintain information systems with a high degree of accuracy.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work autonomously in a high demand environment.
* Demonstrated high level of independence in solving problems and using judgement. Problems can be multi-faceted requiring detailed analysis of available options to solve operational, technical, or service problems.
* Proven ability to prioritise workload and multi-task to ensure work commitments are completed within relevant timeframes.
* Experience with managing systems vendors would be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will require National Police clearance prior to appointment (completed by 3Bridges), valid NSW Working With Children Check clearance and Current NSW drivers’ licence.
