Medical Centre: Solo practice: You will be the sole GP in the town, providing primary healthcare services to approximately 650 residents. Patient load: Average of 25-30 patients per day. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Co-location with hospital: The practice is conveniently located within the same complex as the hospital, providing an integrated approach to healthcare. Hospital: 1:1 hospital model: You’ll have dedicated time to provide care to the local hospital. On-call shifts: 3 shifts per week (10 hours per shift, 8 am to 6 pm). No weekend on-call required, and you can choose your on-call days. Hospital services: Includes 3 acute beds, 10 residential aged care beds, ambulatory care, and renal dialysis, as well as community health services (women's health, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol services). Local services: Access to a variety of services within the Western NSW Local Health District, including dental, podiatry, optometry, physiotherapy, dietetics, radiology, and more. Key Benefits: Incentive: $25,000 commencement payment. Earnings: 65% of billings for GP consultations, with 75% for after-hours, residential aged care, and home visits. On-call pay: $800 per daily on-call shift at the hospital. Accommodation & Transport: Fully furnished accommodation with utilities covered, and a vehicle (with fuel card and servicing included). Flexibility: FIFO options available (e.g. 2 weeks on/1 week off or 3 weeks on/1 week off). Grants: Access to MM6 & DPA rural retention and relocation grants.
