Start Solar is looking for a motivated and results-driven Technical Sales Representative to join our team and help us drive the adoption of sustainable energy solutions. Jobs and Duties Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their requirements and offer tailored solutions for the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. Research prospective clients by gathering information from various sources, meeting with them, and identifying new sales opportunities. Generate new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector and provide regular updates to the Sales Director. Collaborate closely with the sales team, marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment on sales strategies and initiatives. Provide price estimates, negotiate terms, finalize contracts, and accurately record customer orders. Ensure customer satisfaction by following up on quotes, proposals, and orders, and addressing any issues or concerns promptly. Analyse sales data, evaluate product and service appeal, and present performance reports to management. Stay updated on company and competitor offerings as well as market trends to provide relevant insights and solutions. Coordinate the delivery of products, arrange for equipment installation, and oversee the provision of services as agreed upon. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and expenses while preparing comprehensive sales reports. Understand and apply DNSP regulations and technical requirements to support project teams and installers effectively. Work with government bodies and consultants to negotiate and expedite approvals and permits. Assess customer needs and recommend suitable products or services to meet their requirements. Manage large-scale projects, including commercial and industrial solar installations, battery energy storage systems, and EV infrastructure initiatives nationwide. Qualification and experiences Minimum Bachelor level qualification is required. At least one year of experience in a similar role is required. Strong technical knowledge or experience in solar energy systems (preferred). Excellent communication and sales skills. Enthusiastic and motivated individual.
