About the Role
As an Aircrew Officer (ACO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Pilot in Command (PIC) by delivering accurate, timely advice to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft—day and night, including during Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations.
We have an exciting full-time opportunity based in Bundaberg, where you'll take on front-left seat duties for critical missions. These include:

In Bundaberg, you'll work a 4-on/4-off roster—two-day shifts, two-night shifts, followed by four days off—allowing for work-life balance.
As an Aircrew Officer, your key accountabilities are to:
Assist the pilot to carry out all aeromedical, search and rescue, emergency and counter disaster operations and other government support duties.Ensure the Captain is promptly advised on all matters affecting the safety, serviceability or effectiveness of the aircraft or the operation.Carry out all duties and training in accordance with the LifeFlight Australia's Operations Manual.Assist in ensuring that all flight and task documentation is accurately completed and that all crews are adequately briefed and debriefed on any deficiencies promptly addressed.Undertake and support operational duties during emergencies and disasters as necessary.About You
We are looking for an experienced Aircrew Officer who can demonstrate a background in a commercial or military environment and is looking for their next challenge.
Along with excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in being part of a team, you will be comfortable offering operational support including administrative and other non-flight tasks.

The initial Functionality Test for the ACO role is made of the following components and is to be completed within a two (2) hour timeframe.
Assessment 1 – Abdominal Strength Test – 30 sit-ups under 2 minutesAssessment 2 – Upper Body Strength Test – 20 push-ups under 2 minutesAssessment 3 – Safe lifting techniques – 5 kettlebell deadliftsAssessment 4 – 1km Equipment Transfer (16kg) – under 10 minutesAssessment 5 – 500m Stretcher Carry (16kg) – under 6 minutesWhy LifeFlight?
