About the role
The Editor is responsible for managing the development and implementation of content for Tourism and Events Queensland's consumer website, Queensland.com. The Editor will oversee the creation of content on the website to engage key consumer segments throughout the path to purchase. The Editor will collaborate with contributors to create and update segmented content to provide site visitors with a personalised experience and optimise the customer journey to promote Queensland's experiences, destinations and events in a meaningful way.
This maternity leave backfill opportunity is temporary full-time until 25 October 2025.
Key duties Execute the content strategy for Queensland.com. Manage the content development, optimisation and implementation for the website including planning, commissioning and editing. Create, write and manage campaign-specific content for domestic and global marketing initiatives. Interpret and apply consumer trends, research results, website analytics and digital strategies to develop content plans. Commission content from freelancers including preparing detailed briefs and providing constructive feedback. Build and maintain effective business relationships with key industry stakeholders to increase awareness and utilisation of digital content opportunities. Collaborate with the consumer email marketing team to guide content strategy. Experience writing and managing marketing campaign copy including impeccable grammatical skills and the ability to write to tone of voice guidelines. Stakeholder management skills including the ability to advise and influence stakeholders and represent TEQ as a content expert. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously including planning, delivering to varying deadlines, budget management and evaluating and reporting on projects. Strategic and analytical thinking skills to interpret consumer insights, media recommendations and website metrics to optimise content opportunities and engagement.
