About the program:
AIR6500 Futures project will provide a deployable ground-based, medium-range, air-defence (GBMRAD) capability designed to deter, deny and/or defeat air and missile threats to the Joint Force and valuable assets. AIR6500 Futures is an extension of the Joint Air Battle Management System that will include additional Air Battle Management, Air and Missile Defence, and Electromagnetic Battle Management capabilities. The system will be able to operate independently or as a component of the Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defence (JIAMD) capability.
About the role:
The ILS Lead manages tasking for the Logistics Engineering and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) personnel within the AIR6500 ILS Integrated Product Team. The ILS Lead has the following primary responsibilities:
* Planning for Logistics Engineering and LSA work packages within the program’s Agile framework
* Coordinating and conducting the development of technical logistics engineering studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts
* Developing and compiling ILS plans, studies and reports as required contractually
* Leading workshops with the customer to define and tailor the Logistics Engineering and LSA programs
* Meeting all contractual requirement obligations such a compliance to standards, certification and assurance to support system design certification
* Providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders across the company with respect to Reliability Engineering and LSA matters
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Extensive knowledge of ILS process, procedures and the overall engineering product lifecycle
* Extensive experience in Defence or similar projects requiring logistics engineering and LSA activities to be performed
* Advanced experience leading successful outcomes in a large delivery team
* Significant experience providing effective technical guidance, mentoring and training to other employees
* Advanced experience working and leading contractual processes and deliverables
* Advanced ability to apply experiential judgement and lateral approaches to complex problem solving
* Knowledge of adjacent ILS disciplines, including training and publications – associated methodology, techniques, standards and certifications
* Active Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information
