About the School
Lockrose State School is situated in the Lockyer Valley between Toowoomba and Brisbane. There are currently fifty students enrolled in a co-educational, multi-age setting. The school population is derived from the Brightview, Regency Downs, and Lockrose Districts. The school was established in 1905.
Traditionally the area was a rural setting; however, in the last few years, the nature of the school has changed to be more of a rural-residential area. The delivery of services which in the past have been limited has improved with the development of a supermarket and medical complexes.
We are a small three-teacher school with approximately fifty students. We cater for boys and girls in Prep to Year Six, teaching the full eight key learning areas as mandated by Education Queensland.
