Position Summary
At Lids, our Retail Sales Team are the cheerleaders and energy of the Lids brand. These cap connoisseurs are dedicated to fuelling the passion for sports and fashion merchandise by meeting the needs of our loyal customers and casual shoppers alike. Our customers rely on our team to help them find and select products that represent their individualism, team pride and personal style. Working in our retail stores requires our Retail Sales Team to provide the energy to an exceptional Lids experience to each and every customer, maintain our meticulous product presentations and be a subject matter expert on our products and services.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Generate Sales
1. Produce sales gains, by providing customer service.
2. Meet or exceed Company Objectives in all individual statistics.
3. Participate in store maintenance per the current visual guidelines including proper merchandising, signage and store cleanliness.
4. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with Dress Code Policy.
Control Expenses
5. Protect Company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.
6. Participate in managing store inventory including processing shipments and resetting merchandise.
7. Assist with accurate product counts in a consistent and timely manner.
8. Support and adhere to all LIDS Retail policies, procedures and guidelines.
9. Other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
10. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear and professional manner.
11. Ability to initiate completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision
12. Ability to operate a computer, as well as maneuver relative software programs.
13. Ability to lift up to 20kg.
14. Ability to climb a ladder and work with hands overhead.
15. Standing required for up to 100% of the time.
16. Flexible availability – including nights, weekends and holidays.
17. Ability to prove eligibility to work Australia.
