We have a fantastic opportunity for a Communications & Marketing Manager to join our passionate and driven team.
This role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for the marketing and communications strategy of the Helpmann Academy, to build brand awareness, deliver campaigns, promote funding and professional development opportunities and engage with our broad range of external stakeholders.
You will be a driven communications professional with a passion for the arts and a desire to support emerging creatives realise their ambitions.

Helpmann Academy provides professional development opportunities including grants, awards, fellowships, mentorships, masterclasses, advisory services, and international artist residencies, all tailored specifically for South Australia's higher education students, tertiary graduates, and emerging artists.
The Helpmann Academy is a unique collaborative partnership, unifying the skills and resources of our state's universities.
Since 1994, the Helpmann Academy has been empowering emerging creatives, promoting South Australia as a centre for excellence in creative education, and contributing to the artistic community of the state.

DIRECT REPORTS: Content Producer (0.6 FTE)
WORKS WITH: Program Manager and Engagement & Development Manager
TERMS: 1.0 FTE or 0.8 FTE may be considered for the right candidate.
Out-of-hours work (evenings/weekends) will be required.
As Helpmann Academy is subject to funding agreements, this position is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract basis, subject to a six-month probation period.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead the communications and marketing strategy for the Helpmann AcademyPlan, develop and manage brand and marketing campaigns to promote Helpmann Academy's calendar of funding and professional development opportunities to emerging creatives, while monitoring all campaigns and activity to report on effectivenessLead innovative, engaging and authentic communications that actively engage with our broad range of stakeholders including university, government, industry and corporate partners, as well as philanthropic trusts, foundations and donorsLead and manage the development of all new website content and graphics, while working in consultation with our web developers to oversee user experience, SEO and optimisationLead the social media strategy for the Helpmann Academy, working closely with the Content Producer to develop compelling content, create content schedules, manage paid campaigns and activity, review analytics and oversee audience developmentLead the development of marketing collateral including invitations, signage, flyers, catalogues etc in accordance with our Style Guide for Helpmann Academy programs and eventsLead the content creation and production schedule for the Annual Magazine including briefing the designer and managing print productionManage ticketing platform (Humanitix) for artist and stakeholder events including event creation, content updates, attendance tracking and ticket salesManage the annual marketing budget and monthly reconciliation with the Administration CoordinatorSupport the CEO and Engagement & Development Manager with the Annual Appeal and other fundraising requests as directed, including ideation, website content, email and social media campaignsWork with Helpmann Academy's market research partner on annual market research projects including artist surveys and impact reportsMaintain and develop strong public relations strategies and media relations to build brand awareness of Helpmann Academy's programs, events and opportunitiesProvide quarterly marketing reports for Board papers and other reports as requested by the CEOSupport the Program Manager and Engagement & Development Manager with marketing requestsMaintain best practice and keep up-to-date with current trends within the digital media spaceOther duties as requiredOUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE 5+ years' experience working in communications and marketing including at least 2 years managing peopleRelevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, media, journalism, or a related fieldThe ability to think big and to produce impactful communications and marketing material that aligns with Helpmann Academy's brandA strong understanding and experience with managing and updating websites, using content management systems and working with web developersProven social media strategy experience including audience development, community management and content creationExcellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in copywritingHigh attention to detail, ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to and deadlines metThe ability to inspire people into action through the power of storytellingDemonstrated ability to work independently, taking a project from concept to completion, meeting all deadlines, and to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholdersHighly proficient with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, WordPress and Campaign MonitorAble to multi-task and work independently in a hands-on work environmentLegal right to work without restrictionsValid driver's license (preferred, but not essential)PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Ability to lead and inspire teamwork and collaborationA positive mindset paired with a commitment to open communicationAbility to integrate quickly into a dynamic team environmentWarm and friendly mannerCourteous and efficient dealings with a varied range of stakeholdersInterest and passion for the artsKEY SELECTION CRITERIA Proven track record of delivering successful communications or marketing campaigns from concept to completionDemonstrated experience in managing and developing websites including overseeing website design and content creationDemonstrated experience in managing and delivering external communications including the delivery of publications, media releases, long form articles, video projects, signage and collateralsDemonstrated experience in overseeing social media channels and developing strategy to support audience growth and engagementDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlinesAPPLICATIONS SHOULD INCLUDE A cover letter outlining why you are the right candidate for this roleA response to each of the Key Selection CriteriaA current CVAPPLICATION PROCESS Please address your application to Jane MacFarlane, CEO, Helpmann AcademyApplications must be submitted via https://helpmannacademy.com.au/join-the-team/ using the online application formAPPLICATIONS VIA SEEK OR EMAILED DIRECTLY WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED #J-18808-Ljbffr
