About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic nursing professional to lead our Integrated Mental Health Team in Mount Gambier as an Advanced Nurse Unit Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Coordination: Oversee and guide the nursing team and/or multi-disciplinary team activities, ensuring high standards of care and effective delivery in a defined service area.
* Clinical Expertise: Utilise your extensive clinical knowledge to drive the quality and continuity of consumer care, addressing and resolving any inconsistencies between practice and policy.
* Resource Management: Manage local resources effectively to achieve optimal outcomes for consumers and support the nursing and mental health services.
* Team Development: Foster a positive work culture by developing team performance, mentoring staff, and promoting continuous improvement.
* Accountability: Take responsibility for nursing and multidisciplinary outcomes within the practice setting, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational standards.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, and must hold a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent in mental health nursing.
