With operations in 54 countries and territories, Chubb provides commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, personal accident and supplemental health insurance, reinsurance and life insurance to a diverse group of clients.Your Role:The primary purpose of this role is to produce a high-quality work product on small to intermediate residential and commercial claims through prompt and professional contact with customers and brokers and through the effective investigation, reserving and adjustment of claims incurred by insureds.This is a 12 month fixed term contract role.Your Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of claims for property claims as allocated and analyse first report to determine nature of loss, coverage provided and scope of damageAssess claims in accordance with Chubb’s service level and quality requirements and the General Insurance Code of Practice. This includes determining coverage, reserving within timeframes, making payments, responding to customer queries, providing updates, and requesting additional information as needed to manage a claimCommunication by telephone and written correspondence to brokers, claimants and others as requiredPromptly and properly document all developments on claim workstation fileTake part in Claim Department and companywide training as requiredSeek technical assistance in handling claims exceeding delegated authorityRespond to enquiries and escalations of matters from underwriters, brokers and customers, and work with underwriters, the Compliance Department and other departments of the company as neededProactively apply claims policies and procedures including Chubb’s policy in relation fraud, salvage, cost containment and complaintsExercise good judgement in reaching final disposition of claim by evaluating nature of loss, liability, damage, coverage provided and applicable limitsEffectively negotiate compromise settlements where appropriateExperience:Tertiary QualifiedWritten and verbal communication related to claims handlingInsurance contractsLegal requirements and regulationsDamage and/or loss evaluationLitigation proceduresReserving skillsChubb claim philosophyCapable of participating in auditsWe offer you the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and agile environment where continuous development is encouraged throughout your career, both locally and globally.
