Job Title: Speech Therapist
Situated in the heart of the Hunter Valley, Ungooroo Aboriginal Corporation is a 45-minute drive from Newcastle and close to major centers via the Hunter Expressway.
Singleton is a dynamic regional center with excellent educational, sporting, and recreational facilities. It offers private and government schooling up to year 12.
We are seeking an experienced Speech Therapist to join our clinical team, working with children and adults to assess and treat speech and language disorders.
This role involves working 3 days per week (initially 3 days in Singleton, with plans to shift to 2 days in Singleton and 1 day in Muswellbrook).

About the Role
* Assess and intervene in cases of receptive and expressive language delays, speech sound disorders, and complex disability
* Provide early intervention for babies and children
* Manage dysphagia cases
* Assess and manage phonological awareness and literacy difficulties
* Liaise with parents and schools to implement programs
* Assess and intervene in cases of dysarthria and apraxia
* Administer therapy for patients with communication problems due to disabilities or hearing loss
* Maintain accurate patient records and notes in accordance with legal requirements
* Apply evidence-based problem-solving approaches to clinical care

Qualifications and Experience
* Hold a tertiary qualification in Speech Therapy and be certified as a Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia
* Carry professional indemnity insurance
* Have experience working with Aboriginal people
* Have experience working as a Speech Therapist in a community setting
* Hold a current Driver's License
