* Good Start Psychology is a family run and owned business, and we are providing in a position in a well run practice at our new site in northern Adelaide.
The office space is purpose built and boasts a dedicated sensory space and clinic dog, called Charlie.
Good Start offers NDIS therapy services to hundreds of participants, and we have become an important service for many disabled people living in the northern catchment area.
Good Start offers full training, including TEAM-CBT, ACT, Family Therapy, Play Therapy and Neurofeedback. All training provided on site by the senior psychologist and paid for during your appointment.
The position is available for three to four days per week with one full admin day at home (F.T.E.) paid at normal rates per hour. (Three days a week offers an almost full admin day at home, depending on number of clients in the day).
All resources are contained within your contract.
Insurances and AHPRA registration are paid by Good Start Psychology.
Core responsibilities include:
o Assess clients using a bio-psycho-social approach, as well as validated inventories e.g. DASS, RCADS, etc.
o Interpret inventories.
o Develop therapy plans and deliver interventions in a competent and effective way.
o Utilise appropriate psychological therapies including: CBT, ACT, social skills, play therapy, etc (depending on your area of interest).
o Maintain comprehensive and effective case notes, therapy plans and NDIS end-of-plan reports, in keeping with Good Start Psychology and best-practice standards.
o The psychologist is required to engage in professional development consistent with AHPRA’s requirement for psychologists who are actively registered and practising.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor of Psychology (Honours): Essential.
o Full Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia : Essential.
All screenings (Working with Children, NDIS disability clearance) provided by Good Start, if required and you don't have them already.
