About the Role
We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Supply Manager to join our procurement team full time managing 7-8 team members.
Responsibilities:
* Effectively managing the Supply Department’s human and financial resources to ensure the high-quality clinical outcomes and operational goals are achieved.
* Managing an efficient and effective inventory in a warehouse supply model within the Hospital.
* Seeking opportunities to continually reduce waste, improve quality and value in supply processes and operations.
* Working in partnership with Healthscope’s Group Procurement at the Corporate Office to ensure that the Hospital’s service, quality and value requirements are met by suppliers of medical consumables, prosthetics and FF&E.
* Acting as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members and liaising with other staff as required to create an experience that makes a difference.
* Demonstrating professional practice by working according to Healthscope’s policies and processes, code of conduct.
* Maintaining standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
* Ensuring compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.
About You
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
* Previous experience in an acute hospital/healthcare setting, encompassing supply operations and administration, monitoring and reporting performance.
* Experience in managing medical consumables inventory, understanding all aspects of warehouse processes including loading dock inwards and outwards goods.
* Proven experience in building and leading high performing teams with a passion for customer service excellence.
* Proven ability to implement cost saving and value improvement measures.
* Ability to consistently achieve labour management and other KPIs and work within the constraints of a financial budget.
* Effective change management and project management skills.
* Good attention to detail.
* High level of planning and organisational skills.
* Strong influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to adapt personal style to suit a varied audience and a variety of interpersonal styles.
* Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
* Advanced computer literacy & sound knowledge of computerised inventory/stores management and Microsoft Office, in particular, Excel.
