Senior Registered Nurse - Midland Withdrawal and Intervention Centre The Role The Registered Nurse works within the Low Medical Withdrawal Unit (LMWU) with a team of support workers to provide withdrawal management in accordance with the service model and associated governance. The Nurse will work with General Practitioners, the multidisciplinary team, and referrers to provide treatment to consumers of the LMWU. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, contributing to care planning, implementation, monitoring and development of treatment plans and exit plans, and discharge summaries. They will provide harm minimization information/interventions and referrals for consumers and their families, as required and will also provide clinical supervision to the Registered Nurses.Our Organisation Cyrenian House is a leading not-for-profit non-government organisation that has been operating within the alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment sector since 1981. Cyrenian House provides a wide range of high-quality treatment services that make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by alcohol and other drugs.Hours of Work Part-time 50 hours per fortnight.To be considered for this position, you will require the following key attributes: A degree in social, behavioural or health sciences or equivalent experience in the alcohol and drug sector.Personal skills and attributes suitable to working alongside women and their dependents, including mentoring skills.Understanding of advocacy for vulnerable women and families.Sound skills in communicating with and responding to women and families and in maintaining boundaries and confidentiality.Demonstrated and well-developed counselling and group facilitation skills.Knowledge of alcohol and drug issues.Experience in working with consumers from diverse backgrounds and different cultural groups.Experience in delivering education and training programs to human service providers and community groups.Full work rights, National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, current First Aid Certificate, and full Drivers Licence.What we offer you.
