OzHarvest is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join them as a Nourish Program Youth Worker. The Nourish Program is designed to engage young people who are at risk of disengagement from education, training and employment. Offering more than hospitality skills, it creates hope, opportunity and supported pathways for young people.
This role is based in Sydney three days a week from Wednesday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the recruitment of new students by participating in the recruitment process.
* Assist young people with mental and emotional well-being whilst attending Nourish.
* Plan, guide and support the students into employment and/or education pathways after the completion of the program.
Qualifications
* Qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Youth Work, Social Work, Social Science, Counselling).
* Experience working in community services.
* Experience working with at-risk young people.
* Comfortable to work in both a classroom and a commercial kitchen training environment.
* Strong motivation and initiative.
