About The Program Mobile Patient Care (MPC) offers Non-Emergency Patient Transport across Victoria and some areas of New South Wales.
We work with a large fleet of ambulances and support our transport services with RFDS aircraft.
MPC provides clinical care for people travelling from home to hospital, hospital to hospital and hospital to home, as well as transport to and from specialist clinics.
About The Role As an ATA, you will deliver high-quality, dignified, and patient-focused care, ensuring the efficient and effective transport of non-emergency pre- and post-hospital patients.
Your role will be crucial in maintaining the comfort and respect of each patient throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To Perform patient assessment and intervention on-roadProvide high quality patient care and treatment during on-road transportDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with patients and stakeholdersPerform independently and problem solve within established policies and proceduresWork collaboratively with other team membersTo Be Successful, You Will Need A Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance), or Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic), or Bachelor of Nursing (with AHPRA registered nurse registration), or other equivalent qualification for Ambulance Officers recognized by RFDS or DHHSFor Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance) qualified - evidence of successful completion of required clinical placements and a Clinical Skills Assessment, completion of a minimum of 400 hours operational experience under the direct supervision of a clinical instructor, successful completion of clinical skills assessmentTo have the availability to work 10 and 12-hour shifts across 7 daysTo able to drive in both city and country traffic conditionsTo be compassionate, professional, and dedicated to providing excellent serviceExperience working in the NEPT sector in an equal role desirable but not essentialSatisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Full Drivers Licence, Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.Our Benefits Recognition of prior ATA service with other ambulance providers (Non-Emergency or Emergency) to ensure fair compensation for the knowledge and skills you will be contributing to the team2:1 staff to patient ratioSet shift timesGenerous penalties and allowancesA less stressful environment than emergency/pre-hospital careSupported opportunities to work at different locations across the stateOptions to work across specialist resources such as high acuity, complex patient care vehicle, and with our Non-Emergency Patient Transport aeromedical teamEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Access to salary packaging options to reduce your taxable income for all employees, including our casualsGreat parental leave benefits in addition to government parental leave.Need more information?
