Commercial Lending products range from high volume / low complexity offerings through to low volume / high complexity offerings.Business Lending (BL) is a product and specialized sales team that offers working capital, business loans, asset finance, corporate finance, and property finance to our customers. It also has responsibility for Line 1 risk and controls for these products. BL is directly responsible for product management, process management, portfolio, and pricing management. It also collaborates closely with bankers, data and analytics, digital and customer experience teams.Do the work that mattersDevelop compelling and sustainable customer propositions and manage the product lifecycle through a deep understanding of customer outcomes and needs and connecting them to business objectives.Reporting to the Executive Product Owner - Banker Assisted Lending, you will be responsible for designing products and maintaining ownership of the end-to-end product systems and processes. You will also be accountable for monitoring product performance, setting or reviewing the product strategy, delivering continuous improvement and risk buy-down initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations. You will be instrumental in driving the squad's focus on 'now' and 'next' of the product value-chain in alignment with your PO, Crew Lead, and Crew Tech Lead.More specifically you willDefine and refine the customer proposition through Voice of Customer, market research, and industry analysisDevelop and design the features of a designated new product or enhancement to address an identified market need or opportunityDrive customer and business outcomes through deep understanding of performance drivers including customer experience, business performance, and market conditionsPropose product design changes, seeking the appropriate approvals and delivering those changes to market, including planning and leading the promotional efforts for new or enhanced productsEnsure adherence to regulatory obligations through a deep understanding of the regulatory environment and management of issues, incidents, and control environmentDeliver financial outcomes by:Monitoring the financial performance and customer outcomes related to their products, by reviewing sales, closures, profits, and costs on a monthly basisMonitoring the design of products by reviewing complaints, sales outside the target market, and risk controls on a monthly basisMonitoring the competitive performance of their products by reviewing competitor offerings on a monthly basis (nice to have)Monitoring business results of recently introduced or enhanced products and recommending modifications in product features, pricing, and marketing approaches to improve results.Distribution and operations support and SME for key product changesManage change to continuously improve processes to facilitate the overall customer experienceEngage with all areas across the business as both an SME and approval point for all changes that impact their productsWork closely with the PO to manage the product backlog by influencing decisions, thereby addressing appropriate items in every sprint, QTR, etc.Deliver long-term strategic projects to ensure their products continue to meet genuine customer needsProactively manage risks associated with the productBe the technology point of contact and engage relevant teams from various areas of the bank to drive prioritizationProactively engage dependency teams for development, support, and end-to-end testingWe want to hear from you if you have5-10 years’ product management experienceRelevant experience in financial services is desirableCustomer-centric approach to problem-solving, ability to analyze and solve complex and ambiguous problemsUnderstanding of performance drivers and financial fundamentalsStrong awareness of regulatory frameworks and operational risk managementDemonstrated experience in agile deliveryCapable of single-handedly driving change embedding into business layers (core change management principles)Demonstrated successful change agent with a bias to challenge the status quoRisk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss, and act on current risksIf you're already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group (including Bankwest, x15ventures), you'll need to apply through Sidekick to submit a valid application.
