About the opportunity
As a Bank we have obligations we must meet when it comes to Risk and Compliance, so we have a team who provide an enterprise capability for Risk and Compliance end to end delivery from ideation to implementation. We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our experienced team to support transformation initiatives who work closely with BAs within other Technology Service teams, as well as Subject Matter Experts from Business Units, Risk Specialists and Group Regulatory Compliance. In this role you’ll get exposure to a wide range of business and IT stakeholders as well as be part of a collaborative and supportive team.
In this role you’ll get to…
1. Lead the shaping and analysis phase of initiatives by liaising with a range of stakeholders across business units and Technology to clarify scope and determine high level requirements.
2. Analyse and document business processes and requirements, and translate them into detailed business requirements ensuring full traceability.
3. Facilitate workshops to support business stakeholders to understand and implement impacts of the change.
4. Enable and drive the requirements and process mapping activities required for milestones to be met as well as working closely with the Project Manager to help meet schedule, business, and budget objectives.
5. Coordinate, communicate and bring people together to meet project and governance deadlines.
What you’ll bring to the role
You’ll have experience as a Senior Business Analyst who can lead ideation and analysis phases for initiatives, with proven ability leading workshops and communicating to a high level with both Business and Technology stakeholders. Ideally, you’ll have previously been involved in Risk, Regulatory or Compliance projects preferably in Banking.
To be successful in the role you will have:
1. Drive engagement with teams to bring them together and understand high level requirements that enable solution discovery.
2. Be comfortable in dealing with uncertainty and unclear requirements and be skilled at questioning stakeholders and conceptualising scope to bring the right people together to enable clarity of high-level requirements.
3. Be a go-getter who likes to bring people together through using your communication and influencing skills to coordinate stakeholders to keep initiatives on track.
4. Understand the importance of change management and project management when it comes to the delivery of your work.
5. Have both agile and waterfall delivery methodology experience and working with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
6. Have excellent time management and organisation skills to be able to prioritise your work and meet deadlines.
