Opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary group that manages the University's $6bn asset portfolio Competitive remuneration package on offer including 17% Superannuation About the opportunity The Transition Manager – Supplier Contracts manages the successful transition of supplier contracts for property management in the Asset Management and Operations business unit, a multi-disciplinary group that manages the University's $6bn asset portfolio. This includes supplier contracts for facilities maintenance and asset management contracts, including cleaning, waste, mechanical, electrical, fire and more. This role is the main point of contact for onboarding and offboarding suppliers and will work closely with procurement, contract management and change management professionals.
The Transition Manager – Supplier Contracts oversees a program of contract transitions and coordinates key deliverables such as the development of a transition plan and a communications/change management plan. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring service continuity during transition, maintaining service quality standards, monitoring costs, ensuring KPIs and contract management requirements are clear and established.
The Transition Manager – Supplier Contracts is responsible for the documentation of relevant processes and process improvements in order to optimize supplier transitions. The position will liaise with multiple stakeholders including procurement and commercial teams, contract managers, change managers and suppliers, and will utilise strong project and program management skills to set and meet milestones and deliverables.
The Transition Manager – Supplier Contracts will utilise a broad knowledge and understanding of the contract structure of relevant suppliers that support the asset management and/or facilities management functions in order to transition new suppliers into the University environment.
About you Effective management of a diverse group of key stakeholders on large or complex contract transition projects and ability to develop/cultivate productive relationships with key users and suppliers Excellent program/project management and planning skills, coupled with a good understanding of the project life cycle, standards and methodologies Good understanding of contracts and project management competencies including scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, cost, risk, procurement and integration Ability to work in a high-volume environment, prioritise workload and deadline management Effective people management and stakeholder engagement skills with strong written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, with tact and discretion, in a professional manner with people at all levels.
