The Role:
TWC is seeking an experienced and Category Development Manager to join their Ethicals, Clinics and Partnerships team.
In this role you will be responsible for managing the Ethicals portfolio and supplier relationships in this area. You will also develop, implement and monitor category management strategies to drive competitive business growth for the Ethical category in line with TWC business objectives.
In addition, you will support other business units in linking to the dispensary, acting as subject matter expert for scheduled medicine and the dispensary, inclusive of digital health, medicinal cannabis, and vaping products.
This role is a critical one within the TWC business, as a key contact for Supplier Partners to engage with our award-winning Care Clinic programs, our Educational Opportunities and Disease State Awareness campaigns.
Applicants based in either Sydney or Melbourne also be considered.
What you will do:
* Develop and manage strategic relationship with suppliers to include negotiations of trading terms and deals and securing income for TWCM support office;
* Develop and implement strategies that will promote and sustain strong client relationship with Pharmacies;
* Direct involvement in developing digital health initiatives that have linkages to dispensary and health focus areas;
* Act as a subject matter expert for the TWC support office with regards to medication, dispensaries and new developments with medication launches and PBS changes;
* Contribute to other projects particularly in the wider Merchandise team and the Professional Practice team;
* Proposal preparation, contract preparation and management for key initiatives;
* Extensive reporting responsibilities;
* Prepare forecast control expenses against budget and measure effectiveness of strategies, recommend modification to achieve profitability targets;
* Drive significant training in the network for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants;
* Be across the latest in developments with regards to PBS changes, eHealth updates (eScripts), dispensary legislation, new additions to the PBS, S4/S3 scheduling changes.
What we are looking for:
* Knowledge of pharmacy industry and specifically the PBS;
* Understanding of the systems and processes within a pharmacy, particularly a TWC pharmacy;
* Advanced negotiation and relationship building skills;
* Well-developed communication, planning, interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, project planning and selling skills;
* Exceptional customer service skills;
* Self-motivated, able to set own priorities and work unsupervised;
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills including use of Excel, Power BI and Intellipharm.
