We are looking for a commercially minded, results driven Head of Sales with a proven track record in driving sales growth to help our business deliver on its vision, mission and strategic plan.
About the Role
As Head of Sales, you’ll be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for driving sales revenue and margin growth, developing strategic customer partnerships, and leading our existing sales team. You’ll play the pivotal role in delivering our commercial goals and ensuring long-term customer satisfaction across Retail, Food Manufacturing B2B, Food Service and Export sales channels.
This position is a full-time role, reporting to the General Manager and based on site in Bundaberg.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement sales strategies that align to the business's vision and mission and deliver annual sales budget
2. Inspire and support the sales team to deliver their KPI's through strong leadership
3. Identify and win new business with a focus on Retail, B2B, Food Service & Export sales channels
4. Manage the sales pipeline - overseeing and actively guiding each stage of the sales process, from identifying potential leads to closing the deal
5. Develop pricing and price promotional strategies
6. Manage the sales forecasting function in alignment with Demand Planning, Procurement & Operations
7. Collaborate with other departments including Finance, Marketing, Operations, R&D
8. Report on sales performance and present monthly to Executive Team
9. Champion the daily use of the CRM
10. Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity
About You
1. Proven track record in a senior sales leadership role with a minimum of 10 years in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
2. Experience managing major retail accounts and high value customer negotiations
3. Strong leadership skills with experience motivating, inspiring and guiding sales teams
4. A strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
5. Ability to analyse sales data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions
6. Ability to think on your feet, outside of the box and be a natural problem solver
7. Have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
8. Be proficient in managing a CRM tool
9. Be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally when required
10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
