Teachers Assistant (Special Needs)
This is a temporary full-time position commencing as soon as possible. The role will conclude on 31 December 2025.
To be successful in this position, you must demonstrate a clear commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
* Excellent communication, listening and modelling skills are essential.
* A high degree of professionalism and confidentiality is required.
* Early childhood experience is preferred.
* You must be able to work cooperatively with staff and implement learning programs.
* Sound literacy and numeracy skills are necessary.
* You should be positive and enthusiastic, and willing to work under the direction of the classroom teacher.
* Creativity and initiative are required, as well as the ability to develop a positive relationship with young children.
* You must be willing to engage in professional learning to improve your skills.
* Competency with the use of Information Technology to support children's learning is necessary.
* Flexibility to meet the needs of the children, staff and the College is also required.
* A current First Aid Certificate is mandatory.

Required Qualifications
* A Certificate 3 or 4 in Education Support with Special Learning Needs is required.
* A Current Working with Children Check is also required.
* A Cleared Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check obtained through the Department of Education only is necessary.
