The Executive Director will be a key source of strategic and legal advice for the CEO and Pricing Authority in accordance with Australian Government and legislative requirements. This position works closely with the CEO of IHACPA and IHACPA's governing board, the Pricing Authority. The Executive Director will be involved in leading IHACPA's strategic and operational policy and processes, including provision of legal advice, governance, working committees support including governing Board, parliamentary, HR, risk and compliance and communications. The key duties of the position include: The Executive Director, Legal & Corporate reports to the Chief Executive Officer and leads the teams responsible for: Provision of high-level advice to the CEO and the Pricing Authority, including on issues such as strategic business planning. Undertaking in-house General Counsel responsibilities and managing external legal providers. Leading the secretariat service delivery for IHACPA's Pricing Authority and multiple committees and working groups, including IHACPA's Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee. Overseeing communications with internal and external stakeholders, including management of the website and intranet, media and social media management, publication of the annual report and management of the annual scientific conference. Leading and directing change management initiatives across IHACPA. Managing the ministerial and parliamentary liaison requirements for IHACPA. Leading the governance function through policy development and document drafting and review. Managing Freedom of Information requests. Managing other deliverables, including classification licensing. The Executive Director, Legal & Corporate is a member of the Executive Committee that ensures IHACPA delivers its strategic objectives through closely monitoring organisational performance, finance, risk, culture and capability.
