Job Advertisement – General Practitioner
The position of General Practitioner involves working with a team of experienced professionals to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive patient care under supervision, adhering to best practice standards for primary healthcare services across all age groups and health needs.
* Respond to medical or health problems presented by patients, including assisting with history taking, diagnosis, investigations, treatment, and facilitating referrals under the guidance of senior GPs.
* Participate in decision-making about patient care, support patients in understanding their health issues, and encourage health literacy and involvement in care planning.
* Use clinical equipment like stethoscopes, blood pressure monitors, and other tools for diagnosis and treatment, with supervision where appropriate.
* Assist in providing health promotion and preventive care information tailored to individual patient needs, and refer to other healthcare providers as necessary.
* Support the assessment of patients requiring special care, investigations, and treatment under supervision, carrying out procedures within the scope of training.
* Take complete patient histories and assist in making detailed records, ensuring accurate documentation of treatments and procedures.
* Contribute to the management of long-term conditions, following national guidelines and treatment pathways, with mentorship from senior clinicians.
* Adhere to health and safety practices regarding the handling and disposal of body fluids and sharps.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development offered by the practice, health services, and related institutions, and assist in creating and presenting health events as appropriate.
* Work collaboratively with other doctors, practice staff, and allied health professionals as part of the healthcare team.
Skills and Specifications:
* Able to learn and respond effectively to demanding clinical situations, prioritising patients based on their clinical needs.
* Develop effective communication skills for interacting with patients, colleagues, and other medical professionals. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
* Strong time management skills, balancing clinical duties with administrative tasks. Flexibility to work long hours and under pressure, as required during training.
* Develop decision-making and practical skills, and be open to constructive feedback from supervisors.
* Comply with and actively participate in maintaining clinical and organisational accreditation processes.
* Have minimum and Relevant Qualifications required to become GP in Australia.
Suitable Candidate Requirements:
* At least 1 year of work experience as a General Practitioner in health clinic settings.
* Have minimum Bachelors qualifications in Medical Field.
* Have Strong time management skills, balancing clinical duties with administrative tasks.
* Must holds APHRA Registration.
