Job Description
A unique opportunity to work in a co-located Mental Health and Addiction Medicine Detox Unit at Box Hill Hospital, Ward 1 East. As the Clinical Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide advanced clinical leadership in mental health and addiction nursing, overseeing patient care and ensuring high practice standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide expert knowledge in RPN practices and procedures, developing and implementing best practices and conducting audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
* Mentor and supervise the nursing team, managing staffing and promoting professional development.
* Oversee patient safety, responding to clinical emergencies and maintaining accurate medical records.
* Liaise and negotiate with significant stakeholders, including community mental health & AOD teams.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Hold current registration with AHPRA.
* Have completed a post-graduate diploma in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program.
* Have at least 5 years of work experience in RPN practices and procedures.
* Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
