Seeking casual tutors in the Discipline of Marketing in all areas, but especially with background in Marketing Communication, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics (including knowledge of Python) and Marketing Strategy & Planning.
A. About the opportunity
The Discipline of Marketing has opportunities across various units of study for tutors with experience in tutoring in same or similar areas or for someone with relevant tertiary education and strong industry experience / professional background interested in becoming a tutor.

Hours of work will vary according to the final timetabled workshop/tutorial sessions. Please note that workshops/tutorials are timetabled every day of the week, for both remote and on-campus teaching, and through the day between 8 am to 9 pm. A commitment to teach during semester dates is necessary, as well as a commitment to complete additional related administration and marking hours at the middle and end of semester.
Teaching dates are usually mid Feb to end of May for S1 and end of July to endo of Oct for Semester 2. However, work on preparing for teaching commences a few weeks prior to and a few weeks after each semester.
The key accountabilities and responsibilities will be:
1. Follow the direction of the Unit of Study Coordinator in delivering tutoring material in marketing subjects at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
2. Engage regularly with the UoS Coordinator and other tutor colleagues
3. Engage constructively with students through the semester and provide relevant feedback to all assessments as directed by the UoS Coordinator
4. Develop expertise in tutoring by engaging with other tutors, academic staff and attending the Tutor Development Program administered by the Business School (for new tutors only)

The Discipline seeks to recruit talented individuals committed to making a positive difference to students’ learning experience.
Essential criteria:
* Completed an Honours degree, a postgraduate coursework degree or a higher research degree or relevant or equivalent relevant professional experience (see information on AQF levels
* Some teaching experience as relevant to Marketing/Business students
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively and respectfully within a team and with international students
* Evidence of ability to address the learning needs of UG and/or PG students
* Evidence of good teaching evaluations (if tutored in the past)
