Locum Speech Pathologist | Hospital/Community | Regional SA
3 month Locum contract with the local health district in an evolving regional town in South Australia!
Mars Healthcare is seeking a dedicated professional for an exciting Speech Pathology locum position under a public health contract in the Whyalla or Port Augusta regions. You will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on children aged 0-7 years, including NDIS participants, ensuring they receive the best start in life. This role offers an enriching experience, providing culturally safe service to Aboriginal children and their families in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Aboriginal Health Services, Aboriginal Health Workers, Liaison Officers, and Children's Health & Development Practitioners to deliver culturally respectful care.
* Promote the principles of early childhood development and best practices in paediatric speech therapy.
* Utilise service prioritisation and eligibility tools to meet clinical service demands based on individual needs.
* Support clients, families, and caregivers across their healthcare journey by providing thorough assessments, timely referrals, and coordinated care.
* Ensure effective intake, prioritisation, and service delivery in accordance with the health boards framework, with consideration of socio-economic factors.

Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
* Current SPA registration
* Experience working with paediatric clients and understanding of NDIS frameworks.
* Ability to work collaboratively with Aboriginal health professionals and community services.
* Strong communication and organisational skills to manage intake, referrals, and follow-up care.
* WWCC check for South Australia
* NDIS Workers Screening Check
* Recent National Police Certificate
* Immunisation proof for COVID 19
