The Queensland Indigenous Business Network (QIBN) is the newly established state representative body for Indigenous businesses in Queensland. We seek to advance the economic development and growth of Indigenous businesses by:
providing a range of business support services that will assist members to grow & mature; facilitating linkages and connections with government and the corporate sector, especially around procurement; promoting Indigenous businesses on a state, national and global level. Role Overview: The QIBN Business Hub Manager is responsible for overseeing the establishment, networking, and sustainability of our QIBN Business Support Hubs across Queensland and promoting the services, programs, and supports to our QIBN members, communities, and corporate partners.
Key Responsibilities: Establishment of QIBN Business Support Hub facilities across Queensland, as determined in consultation with our Indigenous business membership. This includes the facilities set-up, recruitment of Hub support staff, and annual delivery of a suite of support services, programs, and events. Engage with a range of regional government and industry stakeholders to identify opportunities for partnership, collaboration, and supply chain procurement. Promote the QIBN Business Support Hubs services, programs, and events to Indigenous businesses, in order to increase the QIBN membership. Oversee the direct financial and operational performance management of the QIBN Business Support Hubs to optimise opportunities to grow and support the Indigenous business network. Qualifications and Skills: Qualifications in business administration or a related field. Demonstrated Senior Manager level experience of 5+ years, with responsibility for staff, projects, and budgets. Demonstrated experience engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities to build capability. Understanding of good governance practices, including the ability to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander processes and ways of doing. Understanding/experience with financial and performance reporting, including establishing, monitoring, and reporting on KPIs. Why Join Us?
