The Hospital This 122 bed hospital provides a broad range of multiday and day surgery including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. A world-class private hospital attracting patients from across the greater Northern Territory, Western Australia, remote aboriginal communities and offshore regions to deliver specialist care. Key Responsibilities: Over-seeing a high standard of evidence based Sterilization services to the operating theatre and other clinical departments within the hospital As the CSSD Manager you will adhere to Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards and plan, assess, implement and evaluate the cleaning, sterilization and packing of hospital instrument Provide clinical leadership - providing direction, support, supervision, teaching and specific clinical specialty direction for CSSD Technicians To be considered you must have : Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation Services Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience working in a senior role within a CSSD Sound knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 Standards and HICMR Demonstrated ability to show leadership and the ability to work with a wide range of people in a team environment Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases An interest in promoting best practice patient care A focus on professional development Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship) To find out more about this position or to receive a copy of the job description please call 02 9188 3989 or email vanessacuris.com.au and I will be in touch within 24 hours.
