Whittens is an Australian owned and operated multidisciplined civil construction company, proudly offering over 22 years' experience throughout Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Northern Territory and South Australia.With a growing reputation, we continue to partner with some of Australia's major Infrastructure and mining clients, specialising in the delivery of large scale and technically complex concrete construction, roadworks, earthworks, NPI and piping works projects.Our mission, as an agile and people centric business, is to be the market leader in civil contracting, achieving sustainable growth through high performing people who safely deliver successful project outcomes for their clients.We are looking for Supervisors to work on a 2/1 FIFO roster with a genuine interest to positively influence construction crews and promote a memorable culture, to join our project team on an FRP project located near Karratha in WA.Reporting to the Superintendent, your overall responsibility is to provide onsite supervisory coordination and oversight of the construction workforce including direct labour, subcontractors, and plant, ensuring all construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and effectively.As a Supervisor, you will be accountable for the following: Support the Project management to champion a culture of high performance onsite.Demonstrate strong and visible supervisor skills through your behaviours, effective communication and interpersonal skills.Provide input into the manning schedule to ensure adequately skilled and qualified candidates are planned for the project and take lead on the technical aspects of the job requirements during interviews.Ensure agreed work program requirements are met for each component of the project and report variances to Senior Project Manager.Support the Construction Manager, Superintendent and Engineers to formulate, review and monitor work program(s) and programs for each section of work to be completed.Monitor costs within your remit, particularly direct costs of plant and labour ensuring optimisation of available resources.Effective communication, information flows, procedures and records necessary to facilitate delivery of contract and quality requirements.You will have the following: Demonstrated experience as a Formwork and or Concrete Supervisor with a Civil contractor on an FRP project.Demonstrated experience working in a FIFO/DIDO capacity.Excellent planning, monitoring and documentation skills.Demonstrated safety and environmental behaviour.Self-starter, with well-developed organisational and stakeholder management skills.Prior experience managing direct labour, subcontractors and plant crews.Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with the ability to problem solve.What we offer: Whittens are committed to investing in our people, offering learning and development opportunities to build on the skills and experience you bring.As well as a permanent opportunity, Whittens also offers:Competitive salary package plus 30% site uplift plus super.Weekly pay.Training and Development opportunities.Work amongst engaged leaders and collaborative teams.High-performance supportive HSE culture whereby we "Keep our Mates Safe".Paid Parental Leave.Novated Lease option.Long term permanent role and the opportunity to work on a range of projects across Australia.Whittens is committed to workplace diversity.We support women in civil construction, champion Indigenous partnerships and encourage people of all cultural backgrounds to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
