Job Title: Showroom Manager - High-End Retail (Maternity Leave Cover) Position: Full-time, Tuesday to Saturday Reports to: State Manager, WA Location: Perth About Cult Design Cult Design is a leading design destination in the Asia-Pacific region, representing some of the most iconic names in furniture, lighting and homewares, from the Danish masters of Carl Hansen, Fritz Hansen & HAY to the great Italian collections of Cappellini and Zanotta. In addition, we are helping to lead the Australian design movement with our own brand, NAU. Established in 1997, we have been at the forefront of the design industry through our commitment to authenticity, product excellence and exceptional customer service. We span across six showrooms and 2 mono-brand HAY stores in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, plus e-commerce in Australia. About the opportunity We are looking for an accomplished and passionate Showroom Manager with a strong affinity for design and luxury furniture to lead our high-end showroom in Claremont. As a natural leader, you will cultivate a positive, results-driven sales environment, while ensuring a seamless client experience. In this role, you will manage and mentor the sales team, oversee day-to-day operations, and implement strategies to optimise product assortment and maximise sales productivity. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving showroom success while maintaining the highest standards of service and client satisfaction. This is 12-month Maternity Leave contract with a preferred start in November. On a day-to-day basis you can expect to: • Use your commercial acumen to increase profitability, maximising opportunities across sales, product assortment and footprint productivity. • Inspire your team and our customers with your product knowledge and passion for furniture and design. • Create a positive work environment focused on teamwork and collaboration, supported by a high-performance culture thanks to your regular feedback and coaching. • Identifying areas of opportunity and recommending potential solutions. • Managing the day-to-day operations of your store including rostering, financial performance, onboarding new starters, ad hoc training and other duties as required. • Handle escalated customer complaints and follow up with a positive result. • Develop a strong knowledge across Cult’s brand portfolio. • Foster and maintain a positive working culture. • Ensure the showroom presentation is always to an impeccable standard. • Champion all daily showroom administrative tasks, making sure data is checked for accuracy and compliance. About you: The successful applicant will have: • At least 3 years’ experience of demonstrated experience as a Manager and Leader in a similar environment. • Experience with managing furniture sales and the logistical requirements that support this role. • High level of organisation with excellent communication skills. • Exposure to a sales CRM system (such as Hubspot, SalesForce etc). • Experience managing and allocating monthly rosters. • Ability to affect change and drive a sales result. • Strong ability to build rapport with high-end customers, and a passion for teaching others how to close the sale. • Strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit to explore and create new opportunities Salary based on experience.
