This program provides Indigenous Nursing and Midwifery undergraduate students with an opportunity to gain exposure to a health service, build on confidence and knowledge and undertake paid work placement in a culturally safe environment.
Eligibility requirements: Identify as Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait IslanderAre enrolled into a Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing and/ or Midwifery and have progressed beyond their first year of studyHave maintained a pass grade in all subjectsAre living in Victoria or cross border communityNon-Aboriginal Nursing and Midwifery students are not eligible to participate The support you will receive: The cadetship will provide supportive structure within the organisationMinimum of eight weeks equivalent full-time paid work placementClinical supervision and supportA culturally safe workplaceWorking for ERH At ERH we offer a supportive and inclusive culture that offers opportunity for growth and development.
