The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our Resources Catering Team on a Fly-in-fly-Out basis, flying from Perth to Karratha sites. This position is also available on a Drive-In-Drive-Out basis from Karratha to our Village.
Competitive salary of $95,000 + superannuation.
You will report to the Site Manager and be responsible for ensuring safety and quality processes are followed, exceeding customer expectations with a healthy food offering, while meeting contractual requirements.
Requirements:
* Australian Trade Certification or Cert III in Commercial Cookery (essential).
* Experience as a Sous Chef in a commercial kitchen (essential).
* High volume catering experience, including bulk catering and function/banquet experience.
* Experience in a mining village operation preferred, but all professional kitchen experience considered.
* Ability to work to client expectations.
* Experience driving a safe and productive work culture.
* Creative menu planning and implementation.
* Training and development of existing kitchen staff.
* Strong food safety and HACCP knowledge.
* Able to work a flexible roster.
* Current Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.
