The Manager of Platform Infrastructure leads the design, architecture, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of secure, reliable, and scalable platform solutions that support seamless deployment and integration of applications and services across the organization.This role requires in-depth expertise in Linux systems, database technologies, web servers, storage solutions, and virtualization—particularly with a strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
The Platform Lead will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and deliver robust infrastructure solutions, while also mentoring team members, fostering technical growth, and promoting a culture of innovation and proactive problem-solving.Key Responsibilities -Design and develop infrastructure architectures that align with business objectives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.Provide technical guidance and mentorship and lead technical design and architecture discussion.Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure the infrastructure can scale with business growth.Develop scripts and tools to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of infrastructure components (servers, storages and networks) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Implement container technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes to manage deployment, scaling and maintenance.Support enterprise Linux environments with strong secure coding practices (OWASP, secrets management, vulnerability remediation).Identify, assess, and manage infrastructure-related risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring readiness in case of disruptions.Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Over 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure design and management, with a strong focus on Linux systems and databases.7+ years of expertise with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), with Azure Container Registry (ACR).7+ years of proven experience with hypervisors, containerization (VMWare / Kubernetes / Docker or OpenShift).Industry experience in logistics, with an understanding of IT/OT integration challenges.Proficient level of programming & scripting skills (Java / Python / Bash / PowerShell or Go).Experience with orchestration & automation (Terraform / Puppet / Ansible / Jenkins).Experience with enterprise-level systems and large-scale deployments.Broad knowledge of IT systems, including servers, storage, databases, and cloud solutions.Strong understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM.Strong understanding and practical experience with SOA and/or microservices architecture patterns.Hands-on skills of integration patterns and multilayer architectures including SOAP, REST, JMS or Kafka.Familiarity with IT frameworks like ITIL or Agile.
