Guests may also experience elevated noise due to events on the lawn on Sundays, 6, 13 and 27 April, 2025, from 3pm to 7pm, and Sunday, 6 July, 2025, from 3pm to 11pm.Fire and Emergency Management CoordinatorJob No: 2139Department: Hotel OperationsJob Type: Fixed Term Full-TimeJoin Our TeamThe Fire and Emergency Management Coordinator will oversee the development, coordination, and implementation of fire safety and emergency management programs to ensure the Ardo Hotel, Ville Resort Casino and Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre always remains compliant with fire and emergency management legislation and standards.The RoleManage the completion of mandatory fire testing and maintenance with the nominated fire service provider in accordance with AS1851 and AS2293.Manage the budget for fire system repairs and maintenance.Manage the completion of necessary projects associated with the maintenance and repair of building fire safety installations including passive repairs, lighting and hydraulic suppression system.Coordinate, arrange and where necessary deliver training for fire and evacuation preparedness.Conduct regular drills and simulations to test and improve emergency response capabilities.Develop and review emergency management policies and procedures.Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency management plans, including response, recovery, and continuity of operations plans.Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities.Lead and coordinate emergency response efforts during incidents and activate and manage the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) during emergencies.Coordinate post-disaster recovery efforts to ensure timely and effective restoration of services and infrastructure.About YouCurrent Fire Safety Advisor (or the ability to obtain).Previous working knowledge of the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008, AS3745, AS1851 and AS2293.Demonstrated ability to deliver training and lead people, and coordinate emergency situations.Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency management or a similar role.Experience in developing and implementing emergency plans and programs.Proficiency in the use of emergency management software and tools.Certification in emergency management (e.g., AEM, CEM) is preferred.Leadership and Decision-Making, Emergency Planning and Coordination.Risk Assessment and Management, Training and Education, Resource Management.Work across our properties, The Ville Resort-Casino and The Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre, the region’s premier destination for dining, events and entertainment as well the region’s newest luxury hotel; Ardo.Max Term Full-Time position/Maximum Term Part-time position (Can be negotiated with the successful candidate).Attractive remuneration, negotiable based on qualifications, skills and experience.Employee Assistance Program.Permanent career opportunities with pathways into leadership and management levels and between sister properties around Australia.About UsThe Ville located in gorgeous Townsville boasting 300 days of sunshine every year.
