Upholsterers / Machinists - Entry Level & SkilledCreate Estate is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-end custom bed heads and bases, handcrafting beautiful pieces from our factory on the Sunshine Coast.We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly team at Warana, with part-time, full-time and casual opportunities available.If you have some upholstery, industrial sewing or motor trimming experience, we'd love to hear from you!Responsibilities:Upholstery: Apply upholstery techniques to make bed heads and bed frames often including framing, foaming, cutting and fitting.
Experience is highly desirable.Fabric Handling: Work with a variety of fabrics including leather, velvet, linen and more.Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet our quality standards and are packed with all required parts.Collaboration: Work closely with designers, upholsterers and other team members to assist with quoting on occasion.Dispatch: Assembly and packing of finished jobs ready for dispatch as required.Industrial Sewing experience is ideal but not essential, including: making cut plans, cutting, overlocking and sewing.Skills:Experience in an upholstery setting.Proven use of hand tools including drop saws, mitre saws, drills and routers.Attention to detail and pride in your work.Team player with a positive attitude.Basic communication skills and a strong desire to get hands-on and learn.What We Offer:Competitive salary based on your experience, with opportunities to grow as you develop your skills.A supportive, close-knit team in a family-friendly environment.Flexible hours between 7:30am and 4pm (with early 2pm finish on Fridays!
