If so, then this could be the role for you About the Role: As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will deliver specialist services across a wide range of settings, including acute, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and community health. You'll be an integral part of the Paediatric Unit and a multidisciplinary team, with the chance to provide consulting outreach services. The Facility and Department Obstetric Services : Work within a Level 4 Obstetric service and a Level 3 Nursery capable of managing 34-week deliveries. Dynamic Workload: Be part of a busy service with up to 350 births annually, 650 general paediatric admissions, and a thriving emergency department handling 17,000 presentations yearly (with 25% paediatric cases). Community Engagement : Contribute to a well-established general paediatrics clinic operating 5 days a week, complete with outreach services. The Team: Collaborate with up to 4 specialist paediatricians, a paediatric advanced trainee registrar, and an HMO. Essential Requirements Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians OR Advanced Trainee in the final 6 months of training approaching fellowship and/or proof of recognition as a specialist by the Specialists Recognition Advisory Committe e OR SIMGs on Specialist Pathway - Substantially comparable in Paediatrics Proven experience in general paediatric medicine within both community consulting practice and hospital-based settings. Experience in neonatal resuscitation and neonatology (highly desirable).
