Paediatric Consultant
The position requires a general paediatric clinic for the rapid review of children and adolescents requiring follow-up of paediatric problems referred internally from the emergency department.
This role is suitable for general Paediatricians, Neonatologists, or dual-trained general Paediatrician/Neonatologist.
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary paediatric service.
* Undertake paediatric clinical consulting.
* Participate in Paediatric on-call Neonatal roster as required.
* Responsible for Neonatal Resuscitation and Baby checks, discharge planning when on call.
* Participate in 1-2 rapid review clinic sessions per week.
* Establish a new clinic setup for neonatal review of internally referred neonates requiring follow-up in the neonatal period.
* Plan for paediatric ward development in the next few years.
* Explore opportunities for future service development, including special care nursery, paediatric ward, and outpatients.

The Facility
You may be called upon to assist in developing and drafting guidelines, policies, and procedures for a Level 3 Nursery Service, working closely with the Midwifery Unit Manager, Operations Director of Maternity, and the Maternity Educator.
The facility is expanding its services and complexity to support the rapidly growing population, including a new hospital expansion and renovated facilities to meet the increasing healthcare needs of the region.
Requirements
* Registered or registrable with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
* AHPRA Specialist Registration as a Paediatrician/Neonatologist.
* Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation (ANR).
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in NNR.
* Advanced Paediatric Life Support 2 (ALS2).
* Availability to participate in an on-call roster.
