POSITION OVERVIEW At the core of store activity, our Customer Service Assistant will have a passion for delivering amazing customer service whilst also driving high sales results. Key traits include having amazing people and selling skills, a keen eye for ensuring merchandise is on the floor in an organised fashion, keeping the floor stocked-up flawlessly and providing super smooth transactions at the register.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties may include but are not limited to:
Adheres to all standard operating procedures and policiesResponsible for cash handling proceduresResponsible for all communications applicable to their assigned areaAssists in merchandising proceduresResponsible for maintaining assigned areaDelivers exceptional customer service through personal contact with customersReceiving Deliveries and management of invoicing/paperworkChecking off stock to invoiceStocking Shelves and DisplaysPerforms store maintenance including but not limited to taking out garbage, cleaning, maintaining stock roomStrong culture of safety at all times including the correct use of carton cutter, ladders & trolleysThis position is to be across all operational aspects of the Business. Additional responsibilities will be determined by the Store Manager, as dictated by store needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Stand entire shiftFrequently operate cash registerFrequently move merchandise weighing up to 10kg and up to a height of 1.5-3mFrequently ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stockFrequent use of stock trolleys, pallet jacks for the moving of stockFrequently position self to kneel, bend and stoop, including in stock room and on the sales floorFrequently communicate and exchange information with customers and staff on telephone and face-to-face in the store.
