Job Title:
Store Manager/Retail Manager
Key Responsibilities:
* Recruit, train, and manage staff to achieve efficiency and increase sales.
* Create and implement sales and marketing strategies to lead the retail team towards achieving sales objectives.
* Maintain market trend awareness and monitor sales, taking corrective actions as needed.
* Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities and determine additional needed sales promotion.
* Authorise clearance sales, study trends, and propose a desirable range mix that meets sales budgets, margin targets, and customer expectations.
* Organise sales promotions and in-store events.
* Encourage staff to sell offerings by advising customers about products and undertaking suggestive selling.
* Ensure just-in-time stock refurbishment and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
* Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales figures to ensure branch profitability and be fully responsible for P&L.
* Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditure, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
* Protect employees and customers by maintaining a safe and clean store environment and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and legal requirements.
