You will ensure customers have a positive experience by providing high quality customer service to residents that is characterised by active engagement. Within this position, you will also be responsible for supporting the maintenance of our library collections.ResponsibilitiesProvide excellent customer service through floor walking and active engagement with customers.Deliver prompt, accurate, courteous and consistent customer service when dealing with customers and ensure that all obligations, agreements and deadlines are met.Deliver a range of author events and literary events for adult members of the community.Assist customers in the use of equipment and technology including computers, photocopiers, wireless internet access, online resources, etc.Develop and deliver community programs for adults that are responsive to the needs of the community.Skills & ExperienceA Diploma of Library and Information Services acceptable for Library Technician membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).Demonstrated customer service experience.Ability to deliver library services and programs to adult audiences.Well-developed Information Technology skills, including demonstrated experience in troubleshooting of computer and mobile technologies and the online environment.Ability to relate well to a diversity of people and to work and consult with community and professional organisations and groups.How To ApplyApplications must be submitted through our online system and should be in line with the Moonee Valley City Council Application Guide.
