Jnr Financial Support Officer -commercial, financial and administrative
Venture Smart is a 50/50 joint venture between Ventia and Johnson Controls (JCI) to providing ongoing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) maintenance services & electrical capital works statewide for Main Roads WA.Due to continued expansion of work Venture Smart are looking for a Junior Administration Support Officer to provide the WA Transport team with commercial, financial and administrative support across an exciting variety of operations.
This role will be based at our depot in Jandakot and will report directly into the Commercial & Business Manager.

Salary range: $60 000 - $85 000 (TFR) (Dependant on level of experience)
Primary focus and tasks associated with this role:
Financial Management
6. You will monitor and optimise working capital positions, including collection of accounts receivable and coordination of procurement and accounts payable processes.
7. You will support finance and operations team members with insightful analyses on the performance of the project against financial targets, including revenue, margin, working capital and cash.
8. You will contribute to routine financial reporting processes, including monthly performance reviews (variance analysis), monthly and quarterly reforecasts, and annual budget setting.
9. You will monitor and maintain accuracy of the general ledger accounts and assists in preparing the monthly financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss)
10. Understanding of accrual accounting and procurement process
11. Maintenance of traffic management booking register and monthly subcontractor payment claim
12. Online approval of weekly labour hire timesheets and management of associated invoices
Commercial
13. Support both maintenance and capital works teams through subcontractor work order drafting to direct onsite works
About you
14. Completion of secondary education
15. Fluency in English and strong numeracy skills
16. Highly proficient in the usage of Excel
17. Ventia systems knowledge and experience advantageous (SharePoint, SAP, Ariba, Power BI)
18. Demonstrated ability to perform accurate and rapid data processing
19. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
20. Previous experience in general administration, specifically commercial and finance would be highly regarded
