As an Enrolled Nurse at Enoggera you will be working Monday to Friday 0730 to 1530.
As an Enrolled Nurse, you’ll make a positive impact by:
* Niche patient demographic – generally young, fit and healthy adults
* Provision of outpatient assessment, inpatient care and health promotion services
* Have the time to spend with your patients
* Administer medications by approved routes, in accordance with legislative requirements under the direct and indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse
About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.
About Enoggera
Enoggera Health Centre is located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane, and provides support to Gallipoli, Victoria, Bulimba, and Damascus Barracks. Established in 1908, this modern military base currently spans 600 hectares with approximately 8000 members. The largest base in South Queensland, it incorporates the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters, a major manoeuvre formation, local support facilities and a range of training facilities. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services. This facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend shifts).
Serco is a place for you
As an Enrolled Nurse you will be responsible for providing outpatient assessment and health promotion services to patients, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will assess the level of care required for patients and set priorities accordingly, as well as initiating treatment for minor injuries and illnesses.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* 2 years full-time post registration nursing experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent), in an acute care, primary healthcare, or military setting.
* Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients.
Please note:
* You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
* You don’t need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on-base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
