Here, you’ll be inspired and challenged to grow alongside us.We're committed to reconciliation and supporting the self-determined role for Traditional Owners / Custodians in water and land management.Your key responsibilitiesConduct procurement tasks including RFQ & RFT documentation, sourcing events, supplier negotiations, purchase orders, invoicing, and contract drafting.Act as the primary contact for suppliers, resolve queries, negotiate terms, and provide procurement guidance to internal teams.Maintain contract records, ensure compliance with governance frameworks, and support contract performance reviews, extensions, and variations.Provide reporting for procurement insights, ensure policy compliance, and support mandatory reporting (social procurement, modern slavery, etc.).Identify efficiencies and enhance procurement operations.What we’re looking forPassion for learning and enhancing procurement processes.A proactive approach to identifying and implementing efficiencies.Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers.Confidence in communicating procurement updates and requirements.Some experience or exposure to procurement, purchasing, or contract management (e.g., studies, internships, or early career roles).Basic understanding of procurement governance and compliance requirements.Willingness to perform hands-on procurement tasks, including raising POs, managing invoices, and supporting sourcing activities.A qualification in business, procurement, supply chain, contract management, or a related field (or working toward one) – highly desirable.Why Yarra Valley Water?We celebrate and encourage new thinking at every level.
