Purpose of the role
Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, this role will focus on driving growth within the mining and industrial sectors, identifying new business opportunities, and nurturing existing client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the mining and industrial markets, coupled with strong sales acumen and strategic thinking.
What will you do?
1. Achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within the assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services.
2. Personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers
3. Sells products by implementing sales plans and engaging sales staff
4. Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services
About you
5. Sales Planning, Meeting Sales Goals, Reporting on Sales Actions, Motivating and Coaching Staff, Building Relationships (internal and external to the organisation), Managing Processes, Market Knowledge and Developing Budgets
6. Must possess experience in the Mining/Industrial and Manufacturing sector
7. Possession of a post-secondary degree in Engineering is desirable
8. Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
9. Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
10. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
11. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and CRM software
12. Valid driver’s license
