Role Summary
This is a permanent full-time opportunity as a Senior Accountant/Finance Business Partner within our close-knit Finance team. The role reports directly to the Group Finance Manager and involves hands-on preparation of key financial information for various business units.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead annual external and internal audits for the group
* Prepare monthly reporting files and review group results for the US parent company
* Provide monthly commentary and variance analysis on overall Australia Group results
* Review and prepare or process monthly journals, accounts, and GL reconciliations as required
* Review and prepare monthly forecasts for P&L and Balance Sheet as needed
* Review and prepare monthly job summary sheet as necessary
* Oversee SOX controls procedures and requirements for the group
* Assist the Group Finance team with integrating newly acquired businesses into the Group
* Prepare annual FBT return
* Support BAS, IAS, Payroll tax, and workcover matters
* Develop yearly budgets and forecasting for operating units
Requirements:
* Degree in Accounting and CPA or CA qualification
* Previous experience as an Accountant in a large organisation
* Experience assisting with external audit and financial reporting requirements
* Proven communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
